Our Mission: Achieving Climate Goals

Germany is setting ambitious goals on the path to a greener future: by 2030, we aim to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 55%. Our next major step is achieving industrial climate neutrality by 2045, followed by all of Europe by 2050. Every contribution matters on this journey—for our planet and for future generations.

Transparency Down to the Details

Europe is pursuing a digital policy that enables individuals and companies to take advantage of a sustainable digital future. At the heart of this initiative is the Digital Product Passport (DPP), which provides comprehensive information about products. By gathering data over the entire life cycle, the DPP supports the circular economy and improves the comparability and accessibility of environmentally relevant information. NFM Recycling contributes to advancing European policy goals by promoting the DPP with its technology.

Less CO2, More Future: Recycling EPS Smartly

Expanded polystyrene (EPS), also known as Styrofoam®, is widely used – in packaging and as insulation material. However, the disposal of EPS significantly impacts the environment. When improperly disposed of, such as through burning, harmful CO2 emissions and dangerous dioxins are produced. Additionally, EPS takes up a lot of space, and transportation generates further CO2 emissions. In short, to continue benefiting from EPS, we must make the recycling process more efficient and actively contribute to the protection of our planet.

ECOEPS: Efficiently saving CO2

ECOEPS revolutionizes the recycling process of Styrofoam. Our technology efficiently and environmentally reintroduces unused material into the circular economy. With our intelligent software, we even measure the CO2 savings during the recycling process. In this way, we make an active contribution to a cleaner world.

Innovative Recycling Process

Our ECOEPS Compression Unit reduces the volume of Styrofoam by a factor of forty, making Styrofoam recycling much more attractive. It processes about 200 kg per hour with only 8 kWh of energy consumption. In the process, we save 5.73 kg of CO2 per kg of Styrofoam, significantly reducing both waste and CO2 emissions.
